Data Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Business Systems/ Tech Analyst, Systems Analyst
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria for development teams
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
- Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered accurately
- Support testing efforts, including test case validation and ensuring alignment with business requirements
- Act as a liaison between business and IT to resolve issues, clarify requirements, and manage expectations
- Analyze and interpret data to support business decisions and identify process improvements
- Assist in triaging production issues and work with technical teams to resolve defects
- Continuously evaluate business processes and recommend enhancements or optimization opportunities
- Ensure documentation is maintained and aligned with enterprise standards
- Actively support testing and validation efforts, including test case review and alignment to business requirements (hybrid BA/QA role)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT or software development environment
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements
- Proven ability to work across cross‑functional teams (business + IT)
- Hands‑on SQL experience (required)
- Experience writing queries to extract, analyze, and validate data
- Ability to troubleshoot data issues and support reporting needs
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid SDLC environment
- Experience working in a hybrid Business Analyst / QA capacity, including test planning, test case review, and defect support
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, or similar
- Exposure to data visualization/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience with process modeling or workflow documentation
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts or data integration
- Prior experience working with enterprise applications or complex systems
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
