About This Role
This position will support research activities in power systems. It will assist with software development, simulation setup, data processing, code testing, benchmarking, documentation, and preparation of research deliverables under supervision. Support research projects in artificial intelligence applications for power systems through data analytics, large language model (LLM) development, data engineering, and software prototyping. The position provides hands‑on experience in applying AI technologies to energy systems research while supporting the development of research tools and workflows.

What You’ll Need to SucceedMinimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience. Education beyond the minimum degree requirement may count toward required experience if deemed relevant by the hiring manager. The degree requirement ensures candidates possess the quantitative expertise, statistical methodologies and technical proficiency necessary to manage complex datasets, perform advanced analyses and generate insights that inform organizational strategies and external reporting. These competencies are typically developed and rigorously validated only through the comprehensive curriculum and intensive experiential experience inherent in a formal degree program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Python programming.
- Experience with SQL and data analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with large language models (LLMs) or generative AI tools.
- Experience with Pandas, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
- Experience with Git or collaborative software development.
- Interest in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, or power systems.
- Experience developing AI‑assisted applications or workflow automation.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range$25.76 per hour
