Facilities Manager (Project Management)
TeamGOV is currently seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee operations and mechanical maintenance services at Federal Buildings and US Courthouses in Topeka, Kansas City, and Wichita, KS.
Qualifications & Experience- A high school diploma or equivalency and at least 5 years within the past 7 years of experience managing and supervising building mechanical maintenance operations for multiple high‑rise buildings totaling 450,000 sq. ft. or greater, with experience relevant to the characteristics of buildings covered by this contract.
- Manage the operations and maintenance (O&M) of all buildings under this contract.
- Manage skilled trades, administrative, and supporting staff, ensuring the same quality of service across all facilities.
- Monitor, train, evaluate, and guide facilities personnel.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
- Possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Oversee the development of, and implementation of, preventive maintenance (PM) plans and recommend predictive projects.
- Negotiate O&M contracts and manage relationships with vendors who service the buildings being managed, qualifying new vendors.
- Have the authority to purchase and manage all related maintenance supplies and repair parts for all equipment in the facilities.
- Inspect grounds, buildings, and equipment, noting and reporting the need for repairs and replacements.
- Ensure proper use of the CMMS for all buildings under this contract.
- Regularly meet with the customer to provide contract‑requirements updates and receive further directions, and provide reports to the customer as required.
- Be knowledgeable in basic Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), building automation systems, and computerized maintenance management systems.
- Maintain an excellent record of customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
