Sr Manager, Safety & ISO Systems

Job Summary

Sr. Manager, Safety & ISO Systems leads the management and maintenance of the Integrated Management System. The role collaborates closely with Site EHS/OHS and Energy Functional Managers, Regional and Global EHS/OHS counterparts, and drives site performance against ISO Standards (EMS, OHSMS, EnMS), global handbooks, SOPs, and guiding documents.

Salary Range: $,000. Eligible for an annual bonus plan with a target of 14% of base salary. Final pay depends on experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Partner with direct reports to manage and develop local EHS/OHS and Energy functions in accordance with current ISO Management System standards and sustainability initiatives.

Assure conformity with global, regional, and local EHS/OHS and Energy policies, SOPs, and procedures.

Lead implementation and maintenance of the integrated Management System, working with local teams and Energy, Environmental & OHS Management representatives.

Conduct and monitor local audits, develop annual audit plans, and participate as an auditee and auditor in Global, Regional, External, and internal audits.

Define internal needs to comply with global EHS/OHS and Energy standards; determine Goals, Objectives/Targets, and KPls/EnPls; and track progress.

Expand and develop internal EHS/OHS and Energy KPI reporting for continual improvement, sustainability, and critical site management.

Serve as the local Energy, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety Sr. Manager, ensuring effective management and continual improvement of the EEOHSMS and compliance with ISO 45001, 14001, 50001, and legal requirements.

Oversee documentation, surveillance of compliance, and reporting to top management. Undertake regular reviews of occupational health & safety risks, environmental aspects and impacts, and energy performance.

Provide training to employees to prevent accidents, environmental pollution, wasteful use of resources, and reduce energy consumption while enhancing performance and sustainability.

Report issues to Corporate Energy, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Departments and respective global representatives.

Conduct EEOHS audits and pursue actions related to general EEOHS programs and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).

Assist the Site Compliance Team with ISO 9001 audit support and reporting as necessary.

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum 8 years in an ISO, Security, and/or EHS-related position with at least 3 years of leadership experience.

Certification in Lead Auditor Training for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 preferred.

Experience managing environmental management systems and sustainability programs.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and compliance requirements.

Strong leadership, communication, project management, audit, and corrective action skills.

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
