What you'll do:

* Measure, cut, and assemble fireproof doors according to specifications and safety regulations

* Operate machinery (saws, drills, presses, welding equipment) for door fabrication.

* Apply fire-resistant materials and ensure compliance with fire safety ratings and certifications

* Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings

* Inspect finished products to ensure quality and compliance with industry and company standards

* Perform repairs and modifications on fire-rated doors as necessary

* Maintain a clean, safe workspace, adhering to company and OSHA safety protocols

* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and assist with warehouse duties as assigned

* Assist with inventory management and report material shortages

* Participate in training programs to stay updated on industry standards and fabrication techniques

What you'll bring:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in carpentry, metalworking, or a related field is a plus

* Previous experience in door manufacturing, construction, or a similar trade preferred

* Experience in door fabrication, woodworking, metalworking, or a related field preferred

* Familiarity with fire-rated door manufacturing standards (e.g., NFPA 80) is a plus

* Ability to read and understand technical drawings, measurements, and specifications

* Skilled in using power tools and fabrication equipment with strong attention to detail and quality control

* Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods

* Team-oriented approach with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new fabrication techniques
