Operations Manager
Overview
A dynamic Saturday through Monday schedule with three 12‑hour shifts (6am–6pm). The position operates in shipping, receiving, order selection, inventory control, safety, reconditioning, and sanitation. Lead pay is provided when acting as the backup lead.
Responsibilities- Assist the shift supervisor with daily operations.
- Serve as a backup lead when shift coverage is unavailable or when additional supervision is required.
- Ensure all team members follow SOPs and operate safely.
- Identify and report safety and operational issues to management.
- Assist in operational planning and support daily receipts, shipments, audits, and order selection.
- Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve LGV alarms and alerts.
- Reconcile inventory reporting.
- Assist with on‑the‑job training for distribution team members.
- Maintain good housekeeping and sanitation procedures.
- Provide clerical support to the distribution operations.
- Act as a departmental lead when necessary.
- Aid in inventory control and lot traceability initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 0–3 years of experience preferred.
- Excellent written, oral, and computer communication skills.
- Strong adherence to SOPs, Job Safety Analysis, Safe Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and BRC guidelines.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug tests and background checks.
- Responsible work habits and strong attendance policy adherence.
- Effective communication between operations and support functions.
- Lift 2–50 pounds using proper technique.
- Twist, stoop, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
- Read, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly.
- Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Wear appropriate PPE for all tasks.
- Environmental conditions range from hot in summer to cool or cold in winter.
- Dress appropriately for the job.
