Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Kitting Coordinator to oversee aspects of inventory and kitting operations within the Weld and Assembly departments. The Kitting Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and ensuring the Kitting team is assembling kits according to project or production requirements. This role is critical in supporting productivity, safety, and the integrity of our fabricated products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support daily kitting operations on the production floor.
  • Monitor, track, and maintain accurate inventory records using GSS ERP System.
  • Monitor kitting team to ensure adherence to company standards of quality.
  • Coordinate with procurement and fabrication teams to forecast and manage inventory.
  • Provide guidance and training for kitters regarding best practices, techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new hires in the Kitting department.
  • Evaluate and improve kitting methods to increase efficiency and minimize lost parts.
  • Maintain accurate records of shop inventory and kits.
  • Report issues to find solutions to improve efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related role.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Familiarity with inventory control systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Fishbowl, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of kitting and bill of materials processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent time management and communication.
  • Problem‑solving mindset.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, inventory software).
