Production General Labor- Entry Level

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
• Produce high quality products in a safe and healthful manner
• Assigned shift attendance is required
• Work in all areas of production and packaging, as assigned, including operating, being in close proximity to, and crossing platforms over machinery
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Assist fellow employees as needed
• Quality inspection
• Monitoring/Operating equipment (palletizer)
• Stock production lines with materials
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment
• Track quality and waste metrics
• Emphasis on sanitation/cleaning
• Assisting line technicians in general daily activities
• Maintain forklift and floor jacks
• Move finished skids to warehouse area

• Must be able to report to work on time and work the entire scheduled shift.
• Must be able to successfully handle and manage stress.
• Accustomed to and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, complex and busy environment.
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a  "can-do " mindset.
• Must be flexible and work additional hours when needed.
• Consummate team player attitude, sharing and helping others; interact positively, professionally and cooperatively.

High‑school degree or equivalent is required.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMP's and general instructions. Good communication skills are required.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out both oral and written instructions.

• Regularly required to stand and lift; stand and walk at least 70% of the time.
• Must work 12‑hour shifts, with flexibility for additional hours.
• Lifting/pushing/pulling or carrying up to 50 lbs; frequent ability to lift 30–35 lbs.
• Must squat or kneel and bend frequently.
• Must work in a 40–50 °F cold environment.
• Must work in a 90–100 °F hot environment.
• Must tolerate exposure to flour and yeast materials.
• Must climb steps and vertical ladders up to 10 ft frequently.

Employee must be able to perform essential job functions consistently with safety standards, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Hot in summer, cold in winter; moderate to high noise level.
