Production Technician Snacks Processing

Area Leader/Team Leader

Produce high quality treats with minimal yield loss and deliver product for the company.

• Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
• Produce high quality products in a safe and healthful manner.
• Assigned shift attendance is required.
• Make dye.
• Make coating.
• Add hand‑adds to dry mixes.
• Responsible for running and monitoring the system continuously.
• Responsible for weekly start‑ups, shut‑downs and clean‑ups.
• Perform minor maintenance of department equipment.
• Maintain sanitation: keep production and preparation areas clean.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Prepared to perform manual tasks to keep the system running.
• Work as part of a team.
• Assist fellow employees as needed.

High‑school degree or equivalent is required.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMP's and general instructions. Good communication skills are required.

Apply common sense to carry out both oral and written instructions.

• Stand and lift regularly; walk at least 70% of the time.
  Work 8‑hour rotating shifts with flexibility for additional hours.
• Lift/push/pull or carry up to 50 pounds; lift 30–35 pounds frequently.
  Squat or kneel and bend frequently.
• Work in a 40–50° °F environment; tolerate exposure to flour and yeast materials.
  Climb steps and vertical ladders 10 ft high frequently.
• Operate automatic equipment, pressurized air hoses, high‑pressure hoses, and hot‑steam injected water (strahman).
