The Panel Assembly Lead is responsible to leading a team of Panel Assembly employees in the production of custom products. This role involves daily planning, communication, quality oversight, and performance monitoring to meet production goals and support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety:
Ensure self and team consistently demonstrate safe practices.
Communicate and support company safety initiatives including making time for the team to complete their assigned safety videos/training.
Actively participate in all safety investigations impacting your department to ensure appropriate countermeasures are identified and implemented as needed.
Quality:
Inspect work in progress as well as completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer specifications.
Production:
Prepare department adequately with parts and materials to ensure timely and accurate job completion.
Consistently achieve or exceed daily performance targets in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate with team members and supervisors about production progress and any issues encountered during operation
Document work appropriately in planning software system (ERP)
Ensure all Preventative Maintenance (PM) measures are taken care of to eliminate machine downtime.
Leadership:
Clearly communicate goals and expectations to team members each day beginning with a shift start-up meeting and continuing throughout the entirety of the shift..Assist with the on-boarding and training of all new production workers in the department, ensuring their online training is completed in a timely manner.
Hold team members accountable through performance conversations and coaching in areas related to production, quality, safety and teamwork.
Other Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and company policies.

Other duties as assigned or as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in assembly or manufacturing leadership roles.
Strong understanding of production processes, safety standards, and quality control.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Proficiency in data entry, documentation, and basic production software/tools.
