Position mission: Community Liaison will foster healthy relationships with community members and partners by providing Case Management services, Administrative Assistant services and be responsible for the Hi-Crest Market & Southside Filling Station, primarily focusing on quality programming, supervision and training of staff and volunteers, collaborations with community partners, and promotion of SENT programming.
Essential Functions/Work Schedule:
70% Southside Filling Station Food Pantry Leadership
- Lead all aspects of the Southside Filling Station Food Pantry, ensuring operations run smoothly, efficiently, and with dignity for all guests.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and retain volunteers to support weekly food distribution and special events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local food suppliers, grocery stores, farms, and food distributors to secure free and reduced-cost food.
- Oversee food inventory, donations, ordering, and distribution in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with SENT leadership and community partners to align the pantry with SENT's holistic community wellness goals.
- Work with the Community Garden and Southside Wellness Clinic to provide healthy food options that lead to healthier diets.
- Maintain records and data for grant reports, donor updates, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that all food handling and storage practices meet local and state food safety guidelines.
- Implement volunteer appreciation and recognition initiatives.
- Represent the Southside Filling Station at community meetings and events to strengthen partnerships and community awareness.
- Screen and evaluate community members for service needs and goals.
- Provide short-term case management support and connect individuals to SENT's wraparound services, including behavioral health, workforce, and medical resources.
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate case documentation according to HIPAA and SENT standards.
- Support individuals in developing and achieving measurable goals toward stability and self-sufficiency.
- Assist in coordinating special projects that promote community wellness and neighbor empowerment.

- Provide leadership, coordination, scheduling, and recruiting for the Southside Filling Station volunteers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with safety and food distribution standards.
- Coordinate and manage facility needs related to pantry operations.
- Participate in a comprehensive evaluation of community members as needed.
- Assist individuals with identifying their strengths and weaknesses.
- Support the mission of SENT by walking alongside community members through loving relationships as they work to reach their goals and overcome barriers.
- Provide support to community members by assisting with the strategic development of attainable goals.
- Serve as the onsite compliance expert for the Southside Filling Station to ensure team members, volunteers, vendors, and other individuals follow program protocol, safety compliance, and organization procedures.
- o Supervise and train team members, volunteers, and vendors on program protocol and safety compliance.
- Manage and coordinate facility-related duties/departments (including food service, transportation, janitorial, environmental services, and scheduling rooms).
- General clerical tasks to support SENT staff
- Receive and route incoming calls and visitors.
- Assist with meeting preparation details (handouts, room prep and clean up, etc.).
- Maintain office files.
- Clerical work: prep and complete documents; write communications, filing, and other duties.
- Coordinate special projects and other duties as assigned..
- Support SENT's strong relationship culture through quality customer service and exceptional teamwork skills.
- Provide superior client service by resolving problems efficiently and responding timely.
- Prioritize and manage work effectively.
- Actively seek to add and enhance knowledge regarding developments and current trends in the industry that will serve SENT's needs.
- Professionalism while representing SENT (onsite, professional, and community events and via communications).
- Implement and audit policies and procedures for compliance, as it relates to the area of responsibility.
