• As a Med Surg RN, conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients  immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients  families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience (Med Surg preferred).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS; NIH (as listed).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Total Med Travel Job . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
