Schedule:
24‑hr Weekend Call - Every Other Week Rotation Preferred
- Call Ratio:
Every Other Weekend
- Patient Demographics:
Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Patients - Admissions:
Included as Needed - Phone Consults:
Included During Call Coverage - Case Mix:
Cardiac Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery
- Support Staff Available: 2 APRNs on Staff
- Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance:
Covered
- Cardiac Surgery Patient Management
- Vascular Surgery Patient Management
- Active Nurse Practitioner License Required
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner Preferred
- Other
Qualifications:
Must Be Willing to Teach Two New APPs Endovascular Vein Harvest Techniques
- Provide inpatient cardiothoracic surgery coverage
- Perform endovascular vein harvesting for cardiac surgery cases
- Manage heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients
- Participate in floor call and weekend call coverage
- Document patient care activities within Epic EMR
