Position OverviewHeritage Grove Estates is seeking a Compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support resident care through the safe administration of medications and assistance with daily living activities. In this role, you will be a key member of the clinical team, ensuring residents receive timely, accurate, and person‑centered care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications accurately and in accordance with physician orders, facility policy, and state regulations.
- Monitor and document vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respirations) and report abnormalities promptly.
- Assist residents with mobility needs, including transfers, ambulation, and repositioning as outlined in care plans.
- Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests, ensuring respectful service.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the supervising nurse in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Adhere to all facility policies, KDADS regulations, and infection prevention standards.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure individualized care plans are executed effectively and both physical and emotional needs are addressed.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the State of Kansas.
- Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in the State of Kansas.
- Ability to provide compassionate, resident‑centered care across a range of physical and cognitive conditions.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within a healthcare environment.
- Effective problem‑solving abilities and adaptability in a fast‑paced setting.
