The University of Kansas Health System St. Franics Campus is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our exceptional Cardiothoracic Team. We seek a dynamic, motivated professional who is passionate about delivering superior patient care in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.
Position Overview- First assist in cutting-edge Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeries.
- Expertise in Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) preferred.
- Admitting service: actively manage and coordinate inpatient care, ensuring continuity from admission to discharge.
- Collaborate closely with an experienced and supportive team of Cardiothoracic Surgeons, fellow APP, nurses, and specialists.
- Access to the latest technology in cardiac care, including advanced valvular interventions, minimally invasive procedures, and state‑of‑the‑art facilities for TAVR, robotic surgery, and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) placement.
- Smart Technology:
See more patients without extending your day. Our providers use Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce administrative burden, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding – leading to better work‑life balance and revenue. - Exceptional quality of life with clearly defined work schedules and a supportive team environment.
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiothoracic and Vascular APP experience, preferred.
- Proficiency with Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH), Radial Artery Harvesting is a plus!
- Certifications in BLS and ACLS (preferred).
- Exceptional clinical judgment and procedural skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
