Registered Nurse – Mother Baby ​/ Postpartum

Postpartum Nursing Care

Provide specialized postpartum nursing care to mothers and their newborns during night shifts. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education while adhering to hospital standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor postpartum mothers and newborns to identify any complications or concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Educate new mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in medical records.
• Float to related units as needed, maintaining clinical competencies across specialties.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active valid KS or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 2 years of postpartum or maternal-newborn nursing experience.
• BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications required upon submitting application.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and in team settings.
• Strong communication and patient advocacy skills.
