Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner – Cardiology / Cardiothoracic Surgery - Location:
Topeka, Kansas (66606) - Healthcare Setting:
Cardiothoracic surgery / cardiac unit - Schedule:
Two weeks per month availability preferred - Duration:13 weeks, with ongoing coverage needs
- Weekly Estimated Pay:$3,260 - $3,860
- Start Date:
ASAP - Patient Volume:
Approximately 2–10 patient encounters per shift - Credentialing Timeframe:
Approximately 1 day - Certifications:
ACLS and BLS required - Travel & Lodging:
Assistance with planning is available for qualified candidates
- Active Nurse Practitioneror Physician Assistantlicensure, as applicable
- At least 1 year of relevantcardiovascular,cardiothoracic surgery, or advanced practice experience
- Demonstrated skill and independence invein harvesting
- Ability to work confidently in a high-acuity surgical environment
- ACLSandBLS certification required
- Familiarity with inpatient cardiac or cardiothoracic surgery workflows preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Provide advanced practice support for thecardiothoracic surgeryservice line
- Assist with vein harvesting using the Maquet Vasoviewsystem
- Manage a patient load of approximately 2–10 encounters per shift
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Support ongoing coverage needs for the surgical program
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an inpatient cardiovascular setting
