Position OverviewThe Terraces at Heritage Grove Estates is seeking dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our Assisted Living team.
As a CNA, you will provide direct assistance to residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence, choice, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.
Unlike a traditional clinical environment, assisted living provides an opportunity to develop strong relationships with residents while supporting them in maintaining their independence and daily routines. Our CNAs help create a comfortable, welcoming environment where residents can feel at home while receiving the assistance they need.

Key Responsibilities Resident Care & Activities of Daily Living- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, toileting, and other personal-care needs
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, positioning, and other physical needs according to individualized service plans
- Provide toileting and incontinence assistance while maintaining resident dignity and privacy
- Assist residents during meals and provide dining assistance as needed
- Encourage residents to participate in daily activities and maintain the highest practical level of independence
- Provide assistance according to each resident's individualized needs, preferences, and established service plan
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident calls and requests for assistance
- Assist residents with their daily routines while respecting personal choices and preferences
- Help maintain resident comfort, cleanliness, and safety throughout the shift
- Observe residents for changes in physical condition, behavior, cognition, mood, mobility, appetite, or overall well-being
- Promptly communicate changes or concerns to the appropriate nurse or supervisor
- Obtain and document vital signs or other assigned measurements when appropriate
- Communicate resident needs and concerns clearly with other members of the care team
- Participate in shift communication and resident updates
- Maintain accurate communication regarding services and assistance provided
- Notify appropriate leadership when a resident's needs appear to have changed or additional evaluation may be necessary
- Encourage residents to remain as independent as possible while providing appropriate assistance
- Support resident choice, personal routines, preferences, and individual interests
- Promote participation in activities, meals, social opportunities, and community events
- Develop positive and professional relationships with residents
- Help residents maintain a sense of independence, purpose, and belonging
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and reassurance when appropriate
- Help create a welcoming environment where residents feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for
- Treat every resident with compassion, dignity, patience, and respect
- Protect resident privacy and confidentiality
- Respect resident choices, preferences, personal belongings, and living spaces
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- Promote an environment free from abuse, neglect, exploitation, discrimination, and inappropriate treatment
- Immediately report concerns regarding resident safety, abuse, neglect, exploitation, or resident rights according to established procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Follow established infection-prevention and control practices
- Perform appropriate hand hygiene and utilize personal protective equipment when required
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe resident living areas
