Experience:

Minimum 1-year progressive care or step-down nursing Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $60.30 Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time per applicable laws Licensure, certification, and travel reimbursement when applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated support team caring for your success What You ll Do Provide direct patient nursing care to post-surgical patients on a 32-bed unit Monitor patient progress following abdominal, colorectal, urological, orthopedic, and plastic surgeries Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Administer medications, perform assessments, and document care in Epic EMR Support wound care, surgical drains, and other post-op procedures Respond to patient needs, ensuring safe and compassionate care during shifts Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols What You Need Registered Nurse (RN) license for Kansas or multi-state license (no hits allowed) BLS certification through AHA (must be current) Minimum 1-year experience in a progressive care or step-down setting Strong clinical skills in post-surgical patient management Flexibility to float to other post-surgical or med-surg units as needed About the Assignment Join our team at a top hospital in Topeka, Kansas, caring for patients recovering from major abdominal surgeries such as colectomy, bowel resection, hernia repair, and more.
