DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Night Shift Emergency Department position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring at least 1 year of ER experience.
Details- Combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department in a Level II Trauma Center
- STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
- Night shift, 4x12 hours (18:45-07:15), with option for 36 or 48 hours per week
- 2 weekend shifts required per contract
- Charting completed in Epic (experience required)
- Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs
- Active KS or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of recent ER experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand
- TNCC certification preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Skilled in trauma, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
- Experience with triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and orthopedic splinting
- Skilled in managing psychiatric emergencies, overdose, and violent behavior
- Experience with IV therapy, central line care, and blood product administration preferred
- Provide emergency care across adult and pediatric populations including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and psychiatric cases
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted
- Former perm staff must have separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
