Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology and hematology patients Administer chemotherapy and other medications safely Monitor patient vitals and symptoms, adjusting care plans accordingly Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and team members for optimal patient outcomes Document patient information accurately in Epic system Support palliative and hospice/end-of-life care for inpatient units Participate in on-call and float requirements across medical and surgical floors What You Need:
Active Kansas RN license or multistate license Valid BLS certification; chemotherapy certification preferred At least 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience Strong clinical skills in oncology/hematology Ability to work 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, with flexibility for holidays Professional appearance, including permissible jewelry and tattoos About the Assignment:
This 21-bed unit specializes in hematological and oncology diagnosis and treatment, including inpatient chemotherapy, symptom management, supportive care, and end-of-life care. The team is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a safe and high-reliability environment. Staff ratios are 1:6, increasing to 1:4 during active chemo infusions, ensuring personalized attention for each patient.
