American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level II Trauma Center night shift role requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
Details- Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
- Level II Trauma Center, STEMI Certified, and Stroke Certified facility
- Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (18:45-07:15), with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
- 2 weekend shifts required per contract
- Epic charting system experience required
- Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs
- Active KS or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- Epic charting experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in trauma, cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, IV therapy, and respiratory care
- Experience with psychiatric, pediatric, and orthopedic emergency care preferred
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
- Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and perform triage and PPE/isolation precautions
- Perform procedures such as splinting, EKGs, IV starts, and management of dysrhythmias
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former employees must have been separated from permanent staff positions for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
