Position Overview
Position is 30 hours per week, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. This is a limited‑term position for one year.
Job Description- 50% Catalog and process archaeological materials recovered during excavations.
- 20% Conduct geophysical surveys for the Forensic and Archaeological Subsurface Targets (FAST) program.
- 15% Instruct hourly students involved with cataloging and processing archaeological materials recovered during excavations.
- 10% Conduct archaeological excavation with the Odyssey research team during the summer field season.
- 5% Assist with equipment maintenance and production of technical reports for the FAST program.
- High school diploma/GED and four years of experience or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with archaeological excavations.
- Experience cataloging and recording artifacts.
- Experience conducting geophysical surveying, including magnetometry, ground‑penetrating radar, GPS, and electrical resistivity.
- Completion of archaeological field school.
