Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Topeka, KS 66617

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase your organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You’ll collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00–$16.00, depending on your skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours range from 8 to 11.
  • Availability before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
Role & Responsibilities

You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery, drug, department stores, and mass retailers. The role comprises three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement
    :
    Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory using a mobile device. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Holiday support
    :
    Additional days and extended hours around Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may work on the actual holiday and weekends.
  • Department resets
    :
    Participate in installations, fixture building, moving card departments, and resetting card sections. Remodel assignments are typically announced two weeks in advance, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration
    :
    Support other merchandiser professionals when needed in your territory.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding role that requires energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds during the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Tasks also include kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, and using step ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Proficiency with a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents.
  • Accessible Wi‑Fi and internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores on schedule.
