Ace Retail Group (ARG) is a division of Ace Hardware Corporation that owns and operates several Ace brands, including Westlake Ace, Great Lakes Ace, Buikema’s Ace, Outer Banks Ace, Dennis Company, and Breed & Company. ARG is one of the largest hardware retailers in the United States, operating over 250 neighborhood stores across the country.

The Cashier is responsible for register transactions involving the sale and/or return of merchandise and participates in front‑end merchandising and customer service.

• Greet customers entering and throughout the store.
• Thank customers by name when possible, upon departure.
• Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor and work well with customers and associates.
• Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
• Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
• Continuously build product knowledge and assist customers with store layout and product location.
• Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise.
• Follow all cash register transaction procedures.
• Balance the register drawer and adhere to Store Support Center programs or promotions.
• Participate in store and Cashier meetings.
• Keep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors, neat and clean at all times.
• Assist in facing impulse counters, rotating fresh merchandise, and stocking ads in shopping carts.
• Maintain forms and supplies, assist with front‑end decorations per program, and call for cart pickups when necessary.
• Inform management when merchandise returns need to be put away.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Cashier experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and climb.

Starting at $11.00 per hour.
