Senior Area Business Manager, Hematology/Oncology – Jacksonville, FL

The Senior Area Business Manager (ABM) for Hematology/Oncology is accountable for achieving annual sales objectives within a defined territory by developing, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with key customers. Responsibilities include developing and implementing effective territory plans, leveraging Sanofi Genzyme resources, and employing selling techniques and marketing strategies to expand product understanding and patient identification.
The ABM demonstrates initiative, drive, independence, and ownership of meeting and exceeding individual business goals while maintaining compliance with all Sanofi US policies and applicable pharmaceutical promotion regulations.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and utilize a business plan aligned with marketing strategies through territory analysis, cross‑functional collaboration, and customer insights (updated quarterly).
- Implement business plans by leveraging all appropriate resources, both human and physical, with hematologists, oncologists, and other key customers.
- Become a product, disease state, and marketplace expert; effectively communicate product information to promote the appropriate use of the Sanofi Genzyme oncology portfolio within the territory.
- Work closely with field partners to ensure strategy pull‑through from key IDNs/System, reimbursement, key accounts, other ABMs, and medical teams as appropriate.
- Complete call reporting, business plan updates, expense reports, and operate within all pharma compliance guidelines.
- Target accounts effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Attend training sessions, conventions, and symposia as required.
- Complete all fleet safety training and maintain an acceptable driving record regarding accidents and incidents.
- BA/BS degree from an accredited school required; focus in business or life science preferred.
- Minimum two years of specialty sales experience, oncology/hematology preferred.
- Ability to think, plan, and act strategically.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Up to two years of successful experience in the sale of chemotherapeutic agents or biotech products preferred.
- Working knowledge of and familiarity with the hospital and cancer center environment preferred.
- Safely driving a company car to daily meetings and appointments is required.
