Equipment Operator​/Site Underground

Description

Torgeson Electric Company is seeking Operators and Laborers for site electrical installation including Site Lighting, Duct Banks, Primary/Secondary conduits, Street Lighting, Sports Lighting, Concrete Work, etc.

Equipment operators/site underground individuals are able to work on site projects installing conduit in trenches and underground. Some traveling required to job sites in northeast Kansas.

Based on experience. $1500 signing bonus.

40 or more per week

• Ability to effectively Communicate
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
• PPE required for all duties.

• Must be comfortable with operating a mini excavator, skid steer and Digger Derek
• Ensure and manage the machines or equipment in a safe and secure way.
• Ensure locates are done and up to date prior to performing work
• Perform periodical safety, maintenance or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment.
• Perform minor repair works during functioning problems
• Inform and advise the management or repairmen for major repairs or maintenance
• Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work, etc.
• Maintain proper coordination and cooperation with the road and transport system while driving/working, so that the normal activities are not disrupted.
• Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, work site or traffic laws.
• Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed
• Report to the Site Superintendent
• OSHA 10 required (reimbursement available upon completion)
• Class A, CDL drivers license preferred but not required (reimbursement available upon completion)
• Operator card preferred but not required
