Electrician- Topeka, KS Area

Overview

Torgeson Electric Company is currently seeking skilled Electricians. Electricians install electrical systems in the construction industry at job sites and are knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code and local jurisdictions. Prior electrical installation background is required.

Qualified Journeyman Electricians starting at $30.00+/hour, based on experience.

40 or more per week.

Paid time off, paid holidays, 401K option with employer match, ESOP, and health/dental insurance. Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical fitness test and drug testing. Travel allowance provided if required. Lodging provided if required.

Journeyman's license preferred but not required. Apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours) required. Knowledge of National Electrical Code and local jurisdictions. Ability to interpret prints and generate RFIs. OSHA 10 required, reimbursement available upon completion. Must be able to effectively communicate and follow safety policies and procedures at all times. PPE required for all duties.

• Install electrical systems.
• Direct and train apprentices to install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
• Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears.
• Perform quality control of electrical installations.
• Ensure jobsite safety and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work to be performed.
• Use required PPE for all duties.
• Communicate effectively.
