JOB DESCRIPTION:

Construct built-in-place or prefabricated wooden or steel forms, according to specifications, for pouring concrete structures.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

* Build, set, and strip forms.

* Pour, puddle, and vibrate concrete.

* Tie rebar walls, and cages.

* Assist other craftsmen as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

* Complete understanding of forming systems.

* Ability to identify material used in forming systems.

* Ability to perform simple layouts.

* Ability to operate power tools.

* Knowledge of safety practices and protocols.

* Full set of hand tools:

* Tool bag, hammer, tape measure, pliers, speed square, level, chalk box, and plumb-bob.

* As part of the hiring process, candidates may be required to undergo a skills evaluation to assess their proficiency in relevant techniques and safety practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Climb and maintain balance on scaffold or walkway

* See well (either naturally or with correction)

* Reach for, handle and grasp wires and hand tools

* Bend, crouch and work in small spaces

* Lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds

* Be comfortable working at various heights

Environment is exclusively outdoors; thus, job often involves all weather extremes. Work requires alert individuals with balance and physical strength. Workers must be able to do lift up to 100 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds on a constant basis.
