Framing Carpenter
Join our team as a Framing Carpenter where you'll be integral to constructing and assembling the framework of buildings. Your role will involve interpreting blueprints, ensuring structural integrity, and collaborating with a team to deliver quality work.
Responsibilities- Build and install wood and metal-stud framing for walls, floors, roofs, and partitions.
- Read and follow construction drawings, specifications, and layout marks.
- Perform accurate measurements, chalk lines, and framing layout using levels, lasers, and squares.
- Install wall, roof, and floor sheathing per project requirements.
- Frame rough openings for doors and windows, ensuring proper structural support.
- Follow safety standards, including fall protection, tool safety, and housekeeping.
- Collaborate with superintendents, foremen, and other trades to maintain workflow and productivity.
- Safely operate saws, nail guns, drills, and other carpentry tools.
- Ensure all framing is plumb, level, square, and built to specification.
- Experience in framing, construction, and carpentry.
- Proficiency with commercial construction techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Skill in using tape measures, hand tools, and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.

Work EnvironmentWork primarily outdoors in the Topeka area. The role involves a Monday to Friday schedule from 7am to 3:30pm, with potential for 40-50 hours per week. Embrace the opportunity to work in various locations, starting in Atchison, KS for approximately one month before transitioning to projects mainly in Topeka.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Topeka, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
