Diesel Truck Mechanic

Job Description

Geis Peterbilt is seeking experienced Class 8 and Medium Duty truck technicians (Diesel Mechanic) to join a challenging career in the transportation industry. Mechanics will work on electronic engines (MX, Cummins, and CAT), perform preventive maintenance, DOT annual inspections, general truck and trailer repairs, and all related duties.

• Perform electronic engine diagnostics and repairs (MX, Cummins, CAT).
• Perform diesel engine repair (MX, Cummins, CAT).
• Conduct accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM).
• Diagnose and repair ABS, HVAC, electrical, and air brake systems.
• Repair wheel ends, suspensions, steering, and perform wheel end adjustments.
• Execute PM maintenance accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to all warranty policies and procedures.
• Utilize electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnostics and repair.
• Provide accurate documentation on repair orders.

• Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, ability to multi‑task, and computer proficiency.
• Desire to diligently serve customers and take advantage of OEM training opportunities.

• Competitive salary: $30.00 – $48.00 per hour; overtime available.
