We're looking for an APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our team in Topeka Kansas at Villa West Apartments. This hands on job will deal with make‑readies, work-orders, grounds, and shared on‑call (once a month). HVAC repair experience preferred.

M-F Daytime Hours 8AM-5PM (80hrs paid time off 1st year, paid holidays). No Weekends, On-call 1x every 3 weeks. Pay: $22-24 an hour (full‑time) depending on experience.

• Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
• Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants
• Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications
• Manage and adapt a preventative maintenance program
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed
• Managing coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone
• Snow removal (when applicable)
• Pool maintenance (where applicable)
• Housing inspection experience preferred (not required)

• 2+ years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent
• 6+ months experience in apartment maintenance
• Dry walling including painting and carpentry
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, sweeting copper pipe preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
• Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
• Some knowledge of HVAC and/or boiler system knowledge required (where applicable)
• Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas
• Problem solving skills
• Be able to provide great customer service to our residents
• Have basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30/days
