Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator
The Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator is responsible for operating the paving equipment on a construction job site in a safe manner. The Operator must complete pre‑start checks, assist with fluid checks, securing the equipment, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.

The Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator will work with GPS systems including Leica and Trimble.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Performing daily maintenance & safety checks.
- Cleaning equipment as required.
- Ensuring that equipment is secured at the end of the shift.
- Fostering harmonious interactions and relationships and maintaining basic standards of civility in the workplace.

- Being a productive team member, supporting the team by going and assisting where needed.

- Complying with all applicable safety, environment, health and waste management policies and procedures.
- Handling a great deal of stress over long periods of time.
- Adhering to the Code of Conduct and Company Safety Policy.
- Ascend/descend ladder 8‑10 feet to access equipment operating station.
- Keep equipment moving along specified path to ensure equipment processes material to required specifications.
- Remove excess built‑up material at the end of shift using a scraper and shovel; periodically the operator may need to use a jack or chipping hammers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Foreman or Manager.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
- Must be able to complete a pre‑employment drug screen with a “Negative” result.
- Must be able to complete a post‑offer physical with a “Capable” result.
- At least six months experience operating equipment listed above.
