Farm Equipment Operator; MZ

Position: Farm Equipment Operator (MZ-11477)
Hansen Agri-Placement is assisting a large, progressive family farming operation in Kansas with an opportunity for an experienced Farm Equipment Operator. This is a hands-on position for an individual who is comfortable operating modern farm equipment, has strong crop production experience, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. This is a family-oriented operation with a strong local farming community.

The employer is looking for someone who wants to be part of a team and contribute to the operation—not someone looking to come in and run the farm. The right person will be dependable, hardworking, mechanically inclined, and capable of handling a variety of farm duties throughout the year.
** QUALIFICATIONS****:*
* · 2+ years of solid crop production and farm equipment experience required
· Planting and harvest experience preferred
· Spraying/application experience would be helpful
· Experience operating newer John Deere equipment and Green Star/precision agriculture systems a plus
· Strong understanding of precision, mapping, GPS guidance and prescription farming preferred; ability and willingness to learn is a must
· Ability to operate large-scale farm equipment, including 24-row planters, combines, 12-row corn heads, grain carts, trucks, hay equipment and other farm machinery
· Irrigation experience a plus
· Routine maintenance and general mechanical repairs required
· Experience with chemical application, tendering or related crop protection duties would be beneficial
· Must be able to drive farm trucks and assist with grain hauling
· Must be comfortable working around cattle and willing to assist with calving and feeding when needed
