Fuel Transport Driver - Home Daily - $55,000/year minimum

Pay is per load.

Job Description:

We’re looking for CDL-A drivers with tanker and hazmat endorsements to transport petroleum products during day or night shifts.

Five day work week and you will be home daily. Pay is per load.

What You’ll Be Doing

A work day's length varies from 10 to 12 hours, depending on available loads and driver enthusiasm. You’ll spend a lot of your time outdoors, exposed to weather. There is no downtime between loads during a shift, but downtime between shifts is at least 10 hours per DOT regulations. You’ll deliver petroleum products within a day’s drive and always be home at the shift’s end.

Loads are picked up and delivered within Kansas, Missouri and Iowa.

Your Responsibilities

CDL-A drivers should be able to:

  • Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
  • Load and unload cargo
  • Properly track and document activity and loads
  • Lift, push and/or pull hoses
  • Report any issues, incidents or delays to dispatch
  • Inspect truck before and after trip
Your Qualifications

In addition to having your CDL-A, you should have:

  • At least 2 years verifiable over-the-road truck previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
  • HAZMAT and Tanker credentials
  • The ability to handle receipts, read maps, and maintain electronic logs
  • Good oral skills and customer service sense
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA Regulations
  • A strong work ethic
Physically, you should:
  • Be able to pass a DOT drug test
  • Meet DOT medical standards
  • Sit in the truck and stay alert while driving for up to twelve hours
  • Get in and out of the truck’s cab as many as ten or more times a day
  • Be able to climb, bend and balance to check dome lids, cut seals, and take product samples
  • Be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds to hook and unhook product lines from trailer
  • Be able to reach to pull fifth wheel release
  • And other duties related to operating a truck.
