General Warehouse Worker

Compensation and Schedule

Retention bonus $1000. Pay: $24.25 per hour.

Schedule:

Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6pm to 6am.

Topeka, Kansas.

A General Warehouse Worker responsible for the safe operation of forklift and other material handling equipment. Duties include order selection, unloading, staging, loading, and maintaining inventory systems.

• Operate forklift, walkie rider, reach truck and other powered equipment to move, stack, and unload products.
• Obtain and maintain a J.M. Smucker forklift driver’s license and demonstrate safe operating procedures.
• Perform daily pre‑operational inspections of equipment and keep battery area clean.
• Follow JSA, SOP, and safe practice procedures and adhere to OSHA standards.
• Receive and put away inbound shipments; store merchandise in appropriate locations.
• Pick orders and prepare products for shipment ensuring accurate quantities and types.
• Load product from staging or storage areas into trailers or containers efficiently.
• Utilize the warehouse management system and RF equipment for inventory, order selection, moves, receiving, loading, and cycle counting.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and assist in security duties.
• Report quality variances and safety or maintenance issues to management promptly.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment for all tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating forklifts and other powered MHE.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety and operating procedures.
