Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse Unit to join our team at Astria Toppenish Hospital in the Behavioral Health Unit.
Shift: Day Shift 0700 - 1930. Details regarding days worked will be covered during interview.

- Provide direct nursing care to patients with acute psychiatric conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, discharge planning and evaluation of care.
- Monitor patient status and provide updates to the treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and engagement in the care process.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, interventions, and clinical updates in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans tailored to patients’ mental, physical, and emotional needs.
- Ensure accurate and efficient execution of physicians’ orders.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for side effects.
- Lead or assist in group therapy, psychoeducation sessions, and activities aimed at improving patients’ coping skills and emotional regulation.
- Effectively manage patient pain as necessary.
- Implement de‑escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to maintain patient and staff safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience:
Minimum three years’ experience working in a multi‑physician practice preferred. - Education:
Graduate of an accredited LPN program. - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Critical thinking skills and judgment. Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment. Knowledge of nursing principles, standards of care and HIPAA. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. - Licenses, Registrations, and
Certifications:
Current WA State LPN license. Current BLS. ACLS required within 3 months of hire.
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
