About the Role
Employees may be absent from work for many reasons — including illness, injury, or extended health-related leave. TELUS Health’s Absence Management program helps employers manage these absences strategically by reducing costs, improving administrative efficiency, and providing meaningful support to employees, all with the goal of a safe and sustainable return to health and productivity.
As a Workers’ Compensation Coordinator
, you will play a critical role in supporting our Case Management team by ensuring claims-related information is processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with service level agreements.
What You’ll Do
Provide administrative and operational support to Workers’ Compensation Case Managers
Coordinate the timely flow of information between Claims Management Coordinators and Case Managers
Attach and manage incoming documentation using the Kofax system
Process invoices within Kofax and the Abiliti Case Management System
Communicate with provincial workers’ compensation boards to obtain claim-related information
Conduct telephonic claim intake and communicate directly with clients
Open, sort, scan, and electronically file incoming mail
Collaborate with team members to meet service level agreements and productivity targets
Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in all claim-related activities
What You Bring
Paralegal licence with the Law Society of Ontario
, in good standing (required)
Post-secondary education in health management, absence management, or disability management (asset)
Coursework or education in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
Workers’ compensation
Health & safety
Medical terminology
Disability management
Insurance
Return-to-work or rehabilitation programs
Strong interpersonal, assessment, and problem-solving skills
Experience in a front-line customer support or client-facing role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
