The University of Toronto Scarborough, through the department of Retail & Conference Services, provides a wide variety of visitor, conference, meeting, related special event services and summer accommodation to internal and external users, especially during the period May to September. The revenue generation for the various services contributes to the support of the academic mission of the University.

Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Conference & Event Services, the Print Hub Receptionist will be the first point of contact for faculty, staff, and students seeking service. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting front-line activities of UTSC's Print Hub operations, answering general inquiries and escalating matters as needed. The Print Hub Receptionist will provide administrative support such as ordering supplies, record keeping, filing, and liaising with campus community members to meet operational needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
- Scheduling appointments
- Booking rooms and arranging appropriate accommodations
- Maintaining information on digital platforms
- Making minor purchases
- Processing accounts receivable according to the University Guide to Financial Management
Essential Qualifications:
- College Certificate in Business and/or Office Administration, or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
- Minimum two years of related experience in an administrative position, providing front-line support
- Experience working as the first point of contact fielding a high volume of internal and external inquiries via phone, email, and in person preferably in an academic environment
- Demonstrated experience updating and maintaining databases, including internal telephone directory, email and list servers
- Experience overseeing incoming and outgoing mail, courier services and office practices
- Experience preparing correspondence
- Excellent organizational, multitasking and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent front line customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal professionally with faculty, staff and students
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to use judgement when forwarding inquiries
