The Cataloguing Support Assistant provides cataloguing, metadata support, database maintenance, and client service support for law library collections under the direction of the Manager, Library Operations.
EducationCompletion of a post‑secondary diploma or degree program in library and information technician studies or another related field.
ExperienceMinimum of 1-year experience in a library technical services environment, preferably within an academic or legal setting.
Skills- Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow established procedures and standards.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Effective organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and library systems like ALMA, Sierra, Polaris, etc.
- Knowledge of integrated library systems (e.g., Alma, Sierra, etc.)
- Knowledge of cataloguing standards such as RDA, MARC
21, and LC classification.
