In this full-time contract position, you will assist the Library & Archives team in preparing archival materials for off-site storage. Collaborating closely with the Archivist, your efforts will ensure proper indexing, rehousing, and documentation of institutional records. This role emphasizes accuracy in archival description and supports the ongoing accessibility of ROM’s extensive collections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and index archival materials efficiently
• Develop accurate finding aids and box lists
• Partner with departments for record documentation
• Ensure data integrity within archival databases
• Manage preservation of materials during relocation
Requirements:
• Archival Technician diploma or similar qualification
• At least 2 years in archival/library settings
• Knowledge of archival standards and frameworks
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Organizational aptitude with an eye for detail
