Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to support Blue Ant Studios’ Unscripted Development team.
This role is responsible for coordinating day‑to‑day administrative operations, supporting project development and research initiatives, management of schedules as well as assisting in the organization of development materials throughout the lifecycle of a project.
This role will report to the Director, Development and is a hybrid position requiring in‑office attendance between our two (2) offices in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, with final compensation determined by experience and qualifications.
Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage calendars and schedule meetings
- Take meeting notes and distribute
- Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations as required
- Help to co‑coordinate development shoots and support the development team on set as required
- Support the development team's preparation for TV markets such as Real screen, including building meeting schedules, and preparing pitch materials.
- Assist in maintaining development tracking grids and internal databases
- Support preparation for development meetings and pitches
- Build decks using Canva and pitch materials as required
- Conduct research as required
- Review and assess third party pitches
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to ensure smooth day‑to‑day department operations
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in TV production or development coordination
- Post‑secondary diploma or degree in television, film, or a related program
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and discretion with confidential materials
- Proficiency with social media, standard office, scheduling, and document management tools
- Experience with editing software (i.e., Avid) is an asset
