Position: Unit Clerk Role at Baycrest Long-Term Care
Join the compassionate team at Baycrest Long-Term Care as a Unit Clerk, supporting residents with Alzheimer’s in the Cognitive Support Units. This temporary full-time position emphasizes staff coordination and documentation.

As a Unit Clerk, you will contribute to the well-being of residents by managing staffing schedules and providing essential clerical support to the care teams. Your responsibilities will include preparing records, facilitating resident appointments, and ensuring seamless communication with different departments, all centered around enhancing resident life quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule personnel using a computerized system

• Maintain attendance logs and staffing schedules

• Process orders and complete clerical tasks

• Assist LTC managers and inter professional team members

• Organize resident appointments and care conferences

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year clerical experience in a healthcare setting or relevant education

• Keyboarding proficiency of 40 wpm

• Competent in using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Experience with UKG and Meditech preferred

• Familiarity with union regulations preferred
