ABOUTTHE ROLE
As an AV Identification Administrator you will verify, research, identify, and match usage data for Film and Television performances across Traditional media and Digital platforms using SOCAN’s systems. Your work ensures accurate matched data, thorough research to identify AV repertoire, and maximizes royalties and payment precision for members and foreign affiliates.
WHAT YOU’LL DO /KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and verify assigned worksheets for completeness and accuracy.
- Identify and link unmatched usage/performances to AV Works (cue sheets) in SOCAN’s databases.
- Verify matched usage/performances for payment accuracy and correct any mismatches.
- Liaise with the Queries team to resolve complex queries from members and/or foreign societies.
- Proactively advise the Team Lead of potential efficiency and process improvements.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Computer literacy:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word). - Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Team‑work orientation and contribution to a strong team dynamic.
- Excellent organizational and research skills.
- Accuracy and detail orientation.
- Knowledge or experience in the Music Industry or Performing Rights is an asset.
- Fluency in both English and French is an asset.
- Analytical, results‑oriented, thorough, proactive, adaptable, and flexible.
- 35‑hour workweek schedule with possible flexible work options (e.g., 4‑day work week).
