Salary: $70-80,000 a year plus performance-based bonus

Reporting to the Head of Reporting and Communications, the Associate, Impact Reporting helps us to assess and report on the impact of the investment portfolios we manage. Needing to deliver quarterly and annual impact reports for multi‑asset class portfolios for a growing client base, the Associate, Impact Reporting will be involved in a variety of tasks – from undertaking detailed data entry and quality checking, to analyzing results, to developing new visualizations and writing up insights.
Key relationships will be with internal colleagues although there may be times when you’ll be asked to represent the company externally. You will share duties with the existing Associate, Impact Reporting, leading on some tasks and supporting on others; at all times, understanding the need to be accountable for delivering accurate work.
The Associate, Impact Reporting is primarily focused on supporting in the creation of impact reports – mostly of client portfolios but also our own Rally funds. In addition, the associate supports the team to create graphs and other data visualizations for business development needs and works with the impact management team on a variety of tasks.
Impact ReportsSupporting on all data tasks required to create impact reports, including:
- Collecting impact data from investment product issuers, and running quality checks on the data
- Aggregating, analyzing and interpreting impact data
- Generating visualizations and communicating insights regarding impact results
- Supporting in the development of our impact reporting, including by enhancing our quarterly and annual reports with new aspects of analysis
- Creating process documentation and how‑to guides
Supporting all teams to develop impact graphs for a variety of needs, such as business development presentations and public‑facing web content.
QUALIFICATIONSOn your resume, we ask that you demonstrate the following:
- Training, a degree and/or at least two years of relevant work experience – such as in the fields of data analysis, investment analysis, data science or social science
- Experience collecting data and manipulating complex datasets
- Experience analyzing data and communicating your analysis
- Strong experience and skills with relevant software such as data analysis software, Excel, Tableau or Power BI
- Understanding of investment products
- Interest in and some knowledge of impact investing and impact management
- Financial model building, data analytics, and software development experience is considered an asset
- Proficiency in English; proficiency in French is considered an asset
- That you are legally able to work in Canada without restrictions
