State Street is making a multi‑year strategic investment in Private Markets and the Alternatives Product organization seeks a qualified leader with strong experience and interest in product development and solutioning for Private Credit. With the democratization of Private Markets, the client demand and opportunities to further enhance our capabilities and offerings will play a significant role in growing our business.
The VP Private Credit Product Solutioning Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, enhancement and support of State Street’s Credit products, services and delivery channels from conceptual stages through research, development, marketing, training, sales programs, financial metrics and the entire product life cycle in support of the Credit products strategic goals and objectives. The role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Private Credit & Solutions and work alongside peers to align on a global platform.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the SVP of Private Credit & Solutions and internal delivery and technology teams to create go‑to‑market and product strategy, including assessments of internal capabilities and the competitive landscape as well as drive service and technology enhancements.
Provide subject‑matter expertise; develop a thorough understanding of State Street’s end‑to‑end strategic operating model and technology stack, and create integrated solutions for complex clients.
Support and partner with teams across State Street’s global organization to define and solve critical deals and ensure relevant experts are consulted and strategic options thoroughly explored.
Represent State Street at industry events, provide key subject‑matter expertise in client meetings, and provide thought leadership internally and externally.
Conduct research and market analysis, staying up‑to‑date with key competitor intelligence and emerging industry trends to drive strategic focus.
Support sales commercialization activities, such as sourcing new business opportunities through industry networks, existing relationships and new business opportunities; managing end‑to‑end pricing of products and services, assisting sales and relationship teams with deal‑specific negotiation items; and supporting annual planning and funding prioritization activities where required.
Apply understanding of State Street’s strategic plans, business processes and technological architecture in solution design and development phases.
Skills
Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral, with ability to interact with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
Proven ability in project management, analytics and process transformation – balancing strategic leadership with a practical, hands‑on approach.
Organize, prioritize, balance key tasks and manage time effectively.
Facilitate project working groups, including internal and external stakeholders.
Strong team player who can thrive in a large, complex global organization.
Job Requirements and
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Business or Accounting preferred).
10+ years of experience desirable.
Private Credit experience required; operations and/or accounting background a plus.
Experience in Semi‑Liquid Product construction and servicing desirable.
Critical thinking, problem solving and decision‑making skills.
Demonstrable experience managing projects and collaborating across teams.
Knowledge of or experience leading product development programs/processes related to the financial services industry is a strong advantage.
Salary Range
$110,000 – $207,500 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
