What you’ll do

Build, lead, and mentor a business development team focused on sourcing high‑quality M&A opportunities.

Develop a long‑term sourcing strategy and roadmap to support sustained capital deployment.

Establish and nurture relationships with software founders, CEOs, shareholders, PE/VC funds, investment bankers, and industry advisors.

Plan and execute outbound campaigns through email, Linked In, calls, conferences, and in‑person meetings.

Advance potential acquisitions through the sourcing pipeline and qualify them for the internal M&A team.

Promote a culture of excellence, entrepreneurial thinking, and accountability across the BD function.

Collaborate with senior leaders in M&A and Operations to support the inorganic growth strategy.

Engage in daily activities including research, outreach, pipeline management, coaching team members, and attending industry events.

What you bring

5+ years of experience in M&A, private equity, venture capital, or investment banking, specifically in deal sourcing or execution.

Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and scale a high‑performing BD or sourcing team.

Strong relationship‑building capabilities and natural curiosity about businesses and their operators.

Excellent communication skills and comfort building rapport remotely and in person.

Strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and the ability to motivate and guide a team.

Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field.

High attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Self‑driven, entrepreneurial mindset with comfort working autonomously.

Willingness to travel for meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Why join

This role offers the opportunity to shape a critical growth function within a high‑energy, entrepreneurial investment environment. You’ll have meaningful influence on sourcing strategy, access to senior leadership, and the ability to build a team that directly drives portfolio expansion.
