The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Specialist Auditor to join our Internal Audit team in Toronto. The role is a permanent hybrid position. This posting is for an existing position vacancy. As a Specialist Auditor you will support the effectiveness of the company's governance and control environment by planning and executing internal audits that assess process efficiency, data integrity, and compliance with internal standards and international audit norms.

You will also act in alignment with corporate values and contribute to internal initiatives that drive continuous improvement within the department.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Plan and execute internal audits, ensuring compliance with internal standards and international auditing norms within established deadlines;
  • Prepare work papers, review evidence and reports, and draft preliminary internal audit reports in accordance with company standards;
  • Actively participate in presenting results, both in writing and orally, to various areas of the company;
  • Collaborate with management to ensure alignment and that action plans adequately address the observations identified;
  • Act in compliance with the company's corporate values and key behaviors;
  • Participate in internal projects to contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental processes.

About You

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Professional certifications such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CPA is an asset.
Experience:
  • 4 years of experience in auditing.
Skills:
  • Solid experience in internal auditing, including audit policies and methodologies (Institute of Internal Auditors);
  • Advanced knowledge of organizational processes (financial, operational, compliance, IT, etc.);
  • Availability to travel between projects, with international exposure;
  • Excellent communication skills. Advanced English proficiency. Strong ability to articulate on controls and risks, influence process owners, and deliver presentations to all organizational levels;
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in Portuguese is an asset
