This is a highly visible role that combines strategic planning and outreach, relationship management, and market insight to help new clients through the firm’s growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new client opportunities through relationship-based selling, industry networking, and targeted outreach.
Lead Generation & Outreach:
Research potential clients and partners, assist with targeted outreach campaigns, and schedule introductory meetings.
Sales Support:
Help prepare proposals, presentations, and pitch materials for prospective clients in collaboration with senior team members.
Client Relationship Management:
Maintain regular communication with existing clients, track engagement activities, and identify opportunities for additional services.
Client Engagement: Collaborate with practice leaders to deepen relationships with existing clients, ensuring consistent communication, satisfaction, and opportunities for expanded services.
Market Intelligence: Monitor legal and industry trends to inform strategic growth initiatives and identify emerging market opportunities.
Partnership Assistance:
Support the development of relationships with referral networks, associations, and corporate partners to expand the firm’s reach.
Proposal & Pitch Support: Assist with the preparation of RFP responses, client proposals, and presentations in partnership with senior leadership and legal teams.
Brand & Marketing Alignment: Work with the marketing department to design campaigns, events, and thought leadership initiatives that enhance visibility and support business goals.
Performance Tracking: Analyze pipeline performance, partnership ROI, and growth metrics, presenting actionable insights to the executive team.
Market Research:
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and inform outreach strategies.
CRM & Reporting:
Update client and prospect information in the CRM system, track pipeline progress, and generate basic performance reports.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or client support (professional services experience is a plus)
Proven ability to build and sustain high-value relationships with corporate clients and strategic partners.
An understanding of the business side of professional services.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with a results-driven and entrepreneurial mindset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
Comfortable with research, outreach, and using CRM tools.
