Position
:
Management Development Program Trainee (full-time)
Base Salary
: $52,500 + Profit Sharing
We are seeking new or recent graduates to join the Management Development Program
. This is a full-time, salaried position with comprehensive benefits and the opportunity to earn profit sharing. Some candidates may be required to relocate within Canada to complete training; relocation assistance will be provided. Opportunities are available across the country.
The Role
:
As a Management Trainee, you will progress through a 4-phase program to learn every aspect of how our business operates—from shipping and receiving to counter sales, operations management, employee development, and more. You will build a sales territory, provide world-class customer service, and receive guidance from current managers and teammates within a region and across Canada to develop a successful management career at EMCO.
Program Outline
:
Over the course of 3.5 to 4 years, you will move through four phases of the program.
Phase 1 – Warehouse and Customer service
:
Build product knowledge and gain hands-on experience with logistics, customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and more.
Phase 2 – Customer relationships and Procurement
:
Manage customer service issues, large-scale projects, and problem solving; build relationships with customers and vendors; learn to read blueprint drawings to create material quotes.
Phase 3 – Account Management and Proactive Sales
:
Focus on business development, selling products, negotiating contracts, expanding the customer base, and creating high-level customer partnerships.
Phase 4 – Leadership and Operations
:
Provide strategic vision, lead a team, mentor others, and run the business while developing leadership competencies and setting vision and strategy.
Upon completing the phases, you will be prepared to take on the role of a manager at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations.
Qualifications- University degree or college diploma – all disciplines of study will be considered
- Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset
- Desire to continuously learn and grow
- Excellent leadership, customer service and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and high integrity
- Ability to work well independently and in a team
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Strong interest in sales
- Valid driver’s license
Salary Range
: $52,500 + Profit Sharing
